Operating Procedure Writer, utilizing Interleaf on Sun Solaris incorporating corrective actions, Technical Specification changes, plant modifications (DCPs), and format upgrades to surveillance, operating, and alarm response procedures. Perform safety reviews (50.59).
    • Chapdelaine & Associates Inc. Under contract to Com Ed, Zion Station Operating Procedure Writer, incorporating Improved Technical Specifications (ITS), plant modifications (DCPs) and procedure format upgrades. Perform technical and safety reviews (50.59).

    • Supervised first line supervisors and bargaining unit technicians in daily operation of the laboratories and operation of the plant water treatment systems.
    • Managed the radiological effluents programs that consistently earned recognition from the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
    • Responsible for non-radiological (NJPDES) plant effluents.
    • Test Manager for testing of modifications to reactor hydrogen injection system.
    • Member of the Station Operations Review Committee.
    • Attended System Engineer training.

    • Special assignment for two refueling outages.
    • Had overall responsibility for the safety and schedule adherence of the organization. Earned recognition awards for both outages.

  • Senior Nuclear Performance Supervisor-Chemistry, PSE&G Salem Nuclear Generating Station
    • Supervised first line supervisors and bargaining unit technicians in daily operation of the of the plant water treatment systems including the condensate polishers (CPS), make-up demineralizer plant (MUD), waste water treatment, secondary plant chemical injection and monitoring systems.
    • Developed improved plant chemistry monitoring and control programs.
    • Designed auxiliary feedwater chemical injection system that eliminated carcinogenic and fire loading concerns.
    • Member of the Station Operations Review Committee (SORC).

    • Senior reactor operator license (SRO) for Westinghouse Reactor (PWR).
    • Managed daily operation of power plants for four years while also filling the role of Shift Technical Advisor (STA).
