    • Implemented Configuration Control Processes to manage project technical changes within cost and schedule baselines

    • USS Saratoga (Aircraft Carrier)-Assistant Engineering Officer
      Responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of eight high pressure boilers, four 70,000 horsepower main engines, eight electrical generators, air compressors and auxiliary heating, ventilation & air conditioning units. Supervised 350 personnel.
    • Puget Sound Naval Shipyard- Assistant Repair Officer
      Responsible for the overhaul, repair, and conversion of naval vessels including coordinating the efforts of 17 Metal Trade Shops
    • USS Stein (Destroyer)- Assistant Engineering Officer
      Responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of two high pressure boilers, one 35,000 horsepower main engine, three electrical generators, air compressors and auxiliary heating, ventilation & air conditioning units. Supervised 50 personnel.

Selected Achievments:

  • Provided technical design analysis to correct the Savannah River Site's Boiler Ash Removal System malfunctions, returning the system back to service after a five year down time period
  • Served as the Savannah River Site's Lead Project Engineer to design a public-operated sanitary landfill located on federal property as part of a joint venture with the five local county governments
  • Established maintenance monitoring program for the Savannah River Site Tritium Facility Diesel Generators to improve the reliability of these critical machines
  • Project Manager for the $55M Decommissioning & Dismantling of the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor Project
  • Naval Reserve Commanding Officer assignments include a Ship Maintenance Unit, a Shipyard Repair Unit, and a Naval Weapons Handling Unit
